Busy Kids Equals Happy Kids #parenting #Sports

I don't know about you, but I'm pooped. My kids, love them dearly, but holy smokes. They're so active, which is what I want. Whether it be clubs, groups, organizations or sports, I want my children to be involved in something. To have a hobby, to do something they enjoy. And for two, sports is their life. For princess, cheering--which is a sport--is part of her social network, but I wouldn't say it's her lifeline.

Cheering, field hockey and soccer started in mid-August and ended in late October. Travel sessions of basketball overlapped, and then middle school basketball and rec basketball picked up for two, while competition cheer began for Princess. Two of the four basketball leagues are finally done-phew!-and only two more weeks of competition cheer and travel ball. I'm so ready. 

Thankfully Maine drops snow and ice from its gorgeous sky and cancels events around the state. This is the only peace I get. I know one day I'll look back and miss these days (I really do enjoy watching my kids play), but I am looking forward to a day of nothing. 

In the meantime, I cheer from the sidelines, snap too many pictures and do a happy dance when we get the cancelation call.
